Having the Homestead Exemption on your home provides for lower taxes and lots of protection! Remember, it does not cost anything at all to file for the homestead and it is very simple to do!
Exemption forms can be downloaded from the Central Appraisal District’s website for the county in which the property is located.
NOW is the time to file so you don’t forget!!
Please be sure that you have changed your address on your driver’s license…. this, along with the Closing Statement and utility bill, should take care of helping you make it happen!
